Knox Grammar

This custom designed outdoor learning and recreational space for Knox Grammar school was expertly designed by Sydney Landscape Architects Outhouse Design. Steve Warner and his team worked with Knox Grammar School to develop this 1000 m2 second level roof top area into a space for interaction, learning and entertainment. The result is an outstanding space that features hexagon shapes with large booth seating modules, bench seats, pergolas, decking and planters that all work harmoniously together. PO Box Designs were engaged by the architect to build all the elements for the rooftop space - with a key criteria being a modular design (ie: built off site), ability to be craned into position, lightweight yet strong and delivery within a 6 week timeframe (including Christmas!). The challenge was accepted and delivered, with an exceptional result that has now gone on to win several Landscape industry gold awards....

Albert Park 2

We had the pleasure of custom creating these fence custom extensions and double sided privacy gate for this Albert Park property. Situated on a corner block, with footpath running beside the fence, the gate required keypad access and both the gate and screening were to look equally as good from both sides. We used our Branch and Birds skeleton design as the basis for the project, incorporated some more branches in the landscape orientation panels and custom created the pattern for the gate. The gate features the same design, mirrored on both sides, and a contrasting central panel that provides complete privacy. The complete stainless steel locking mechanism completed the quality project of this bayside Melbourne home. Designer - PO Box Designs (Lukas Jess) Location - Albert Park VIC Date: 2015 ...

Highton

In 2015 we had the pleasure of working on this stunning Highton property which sits on 1 acre and underwent a complete landscape transformation. We designed a custom set of screens, which met pool regulations, with a cantilevered section extending into the pool area with decorative laser cut panels. This structure compliments the amazing pool and landscape perfectly while also hiding the garage which sits behind. The design features branches running through the panels made up of perforated holes not exceeding 10mm in size in order to meet the pool regulations. PO Box Designs were also engaged to design and custom fabricate a set of double opening gates with remote automation which set the scene for the rest of the property as soon as you enter through the gates. Items completed: Entrance gates with automation and feature pool regulation decorative screens and pergola structure. Designer - PO Box Designs (Lukas Jess)   Landscape...

Canterbury

This beautiful period style home in the leafy suburb of Canterbury (Melbourne) underwent a complete landscape transformation. Sitting on a large corner block, the front yard is where the majority of the space is, and we had the pleasure of bringing to life this amazing circular pergola within this space. Featuring an engineered steel construction, the central ring has been designed to allow for some of the beams to simply cantilever from the ring, while others are connected to the 150x150mm posts. The 150x45 Ironbark vertical timber beams and the decorative laser cut roof panels make this look amazing day or night. Geelong

When you have a poolside wall with the option of a water feature or lightbox - why not have both! Our orange pin cushion design works brilliantly across the this landscape oritentation lightbox and water feature. The laser cut screen is from 3mm aluminium and then powdercoated in faux corten colour. Perspex behind and internal cool white LED strip lighting bring it to life at night. Three spouts, plumbed into the pool pump bypass, then extend through the front of the panel to provide the water feature. This concept can be utilised with any of our designs and in any panel configuration with custom design. Designer - PO Box Designs (Lukas Jess)   Location - Geelong VIC   Date: 2014...

Ivanhoe

On a huge site in Ivanhoe, we had the pleasure of creating corten retaining walls and a letterbox and feature gates to this new build. The driveway slopped down steeply while we also curved down the hill, with the Corten retainers the result is an impressive contrast to the shining surfaces throughout the property and a great way to lead into the basement garage. The indoor pool and outdoor tennis court are separated by a maze of corten retaining walls and decking that creates interest and dimension within the space. With varying heights up to 900mm from deck height, curves and straight lines, the corten retainers gives the plants immediate height and impact. Albert Park

Courtyard gardens require a design that maximises the space. Prior to us creating the custom bifold doors for this Albert Park courtyard, a roller door became the main feature of this outdoor space. While it provided security and was functional in providing access to the rear laneway, it gave the owner nothing from inside the living area. We set about creating a set of custom bifold doors, with overhead hanging track and laser cut feature panels, that blends privacy and security with function and style. From inside the home as you walk down the long narrow hallway of this fully renovated terrace style home, you are immediately taken by our straggled branches pattern as major focal point of the home. Greenhills Beach

Our Square Rose Sculpture is a great contrast to the stark white tones in this seaside home at Greenhills Beach NSW. Standing in the front yard at 2200mm tall it immediately catches the eye. Designer - PO Box Designs (Lukas Jess)   Location - Greenhills Beach NSW   Date: 2013...

The Rocks

When you have penthouse apartment space is at a premium - it requires a unique design that accounts for the historic location, the style of the client and the home. This design by Kev Quelch from Inovasis Design, blends everything brilliantly. The feature Corten planter wall follows the shape of the dividing wall with zinc capping and aged sandstone. PO Box Designs had the pleasure of custom building the corten planter wall, with water feature at the base and custom aluminium trough, along with the 3 custom made planters. The Cog planter features powdercoated outside blades with a central corten cylinder which contrasts beautifully with the zinc surroundings and corten features.
