Guide

How much do planter boxes cost?

"It depends" is a frustrating answer — so here's what it actually depends on. Understanding the seven factors below will help you budget accurately and know where you can save without compromising quality.

The 7 things that drive planter box price

Standard vs custom

Off-the-shelf and standard-size planters are the most economical and quickest — browse our planter boxes. Custom sizes, shapes and one-off pieces cost more because they include design, engineering and unique fabrication, but they deliver exactly what your project needs. See our bespoke work.

Local vs imported — and value

Our imported range offers considered quality at sharper pricing and is ideal for larger or repeatable orders. Our Australian-made range is the call for just-in-time turnaround, oversize and one-off pieces. Both are designed by POBOX and held to the same quality standard — so it's about fit for the project, not quality trade-offs.

Getting an accurate quote

For standard planters, see our planter boxes for specifications, then request a quote for your sizes and finish. For custom or project quantities, send us your brief (sizes, finish, quantity, location, drawings) and we'll return a detailed quote — including delivery install-ready, with specialist installation by our own crew where a project calls for it.

FAQ

Do you have a minimum order?
No minimum for standard planters — just enquire. Custom and project work is quoted to the brief.
Is installation included in the price?
Planters are supplied install-ready for your builder, landscaper or trades, guided by our team — with specialist installation by our own crew where a project calls for it (rooftop, crane, oversize, barriers), subject to capacity. Installation and freight are quoted separately based on site, access and quantity.
Can you work to a fixed budget?
Yes — tell us your budget and we'll recommend the best mix of size, material, finish and origin to suit it.
